I’m impatient and often in a rush. I am learning to slow down and am getting better at being present. I guess that is the silver lining to the pandemic forcing many of us to stay home and adjust our lives in lockdown over the past couple years. This week’s lettering practice is ‘take your time’ in a script style.
This pretty Teal Watercolor Ink from the ‘Cool Set 2’ is a fan favourite! The hue is beautiful and can be diluted to a very pretty soft pastel colour too.
I used the Daisy palette and size 1 lettering brush on Canson Watercolor Paper.
To practice painting letters freehand, use the heavyweight smooth Kelly Creates Grid Paper pad. (Never practice on blank paper).
To learn more about watercolor lettering, read my book The Art of Watercolor Lettering and use my workbooks, inks and supplies from KellyCreatesStore.com.
