I needed some bright, happy inks to paint a bright, happy little quote! Sometimes certain colours can change your whole perspective and make you feel more creative. I lettered ‘smile & shine’ combining script and block styles.
You’ve seen this palette of Rose, Orange and Yellow Watercolour Inks before. They never disappoint! I didn’t dilute them much so they really pop off the page.
I used the Daisy palette and size 1 lettering brush on Canson Watercolor Paper.
To practice painting letters freehand, use the heavyweight smooth Kelly Creates Grid Paper pad. (Never practice on blank paper).
