free online workshop brush lettering modern calligraphy www.kellycreates.ca

Here we find ourselves in a very strange and stressful time. I want to somehow be a small part of helping you feel calm by bringing some lettering into your life.

Calligraphy changed my life 6 years ago, and I knew when I picked up a brush pen for the first time, I wanted to teach and share this beautiful art form with the world.

I will be offering free online Beginner Brush Lettering workshops. In these classes, you will learn the basics of how to use a brush pen, and we will practice the basic strokes.

Click HERE to download an exclusive FREE Basic Strokes worksheet to help you get started on your brush lettering journey. This worksheet is designed for ‘large’ brush tip pens, such as my Kelly Creates Dream pen, but even if you only have a pencil and paper, you can participate.

Remember to use tracing paper on top of this worksheet if you print on regular copy paper otherwise you will damage your brush tips. Regular copy paper is too rough for brush pens.

Here is my YouTube video that shows you how to use this worksheet (Don’t forget to subscribe to my channel!)

If you can’t attend a workshop or would enjoy detailed instruction and inspiration, you will enjoy my book The Art of Brush Lettering, which has step by step breakdowns of all the basic strokes and letters. My second book The Art of Watercolor Lettering was launched in Oct. 2019 and is filled with colourful and beautiful ways to paint pretty letters. Both are available in book stores world wide and online. CLICK HERE to find my book on Amazon.

I’m so very thrilled you are doing this. I’ve been hoping you’d do another online class like the boot camp I did with you years ago on Facebook. Back then, I didn’t have time to keep up with the lessons, but now I’ve got plenty of time! I can’t express how much this is appreciated. Thank you!

Ordered from HSN, but the black ink lettering brushes look different from what you show on your videos and FB. I have looked on YouTube, FB, and your website to find some information about them. I believe they have replacement ink cartridges, but unable to get ink to the brush tip. Help! Love your flower boot camp and want to do more, but this is frustrating. Thank you for sharing all your knowledge.

This is a very important question! Please note that you must unscrew the top off the Black Water Brush and remove the RING that is stopping the ink flow. Then screw the two parts together again TIGHTLY. It is packaged like this new and if you don’t remove the black ring, then the ink won’t flow.
