Magic Monday! Learn to Write ‘July’ With a Free Template

This week we are going to practice a little flourishing. I like flourishing descenders the most, so I decided to add some swirls and curves to J and y in the word ‘July.”

This Stream Dream pen is stunning in real life. Photos don’t do it justice. The pastel mint green is, well, ‘dreamy!’ It can be found in my Set 2 of Dream pens. Did you know that Set 2 is named “Meadow” and all the colours of the Dream pens are named accordingly.         

What’s the best way to practice flourishing? Pencil and paper! The Kelly Creates Dotted pad is super smooth and great to use for practice.

You also need to print on smooth paper like HP LaserJet Premium 32 lbs. or use tracing paper(Canson Marker paper) on top of regular copy paper, which is too rough for brush tips and will damage them.

After you finish tracing, practice your freehand skills on my super smooth Kelly Creates Paper Pads. I highly recommend using the Dotted or Lined pads (never practice on blank paper).
