Are you having fun lettering all the wonderful Christmas words and phrases? Today we will use Kelly Creates Watercolour Inks to hand letter a classic carol: “Jingle Bells.”
I often struggle to choose between classic red/green Christmas colours and more playful, contemporary combinations. This time I used Kelly Creates Rose and Green watercolor inks. To create a more ‘lime’ hue, I added some Yellow Ink to the Emerald Ink in my daily palette.
I used my Size 2 lettering brush, daisy palette, and Canson 140 lb cold pressed watercolor paper.
To practice painting letters freehand, use the heavyweight smooth Kelly Creates Grid Paper pad. (Never practice on blank paper).
To learn more about watercolor lettering, read my book The Art of Watercolor Lettering and use my workbooks, inks and supplies from KellyCreatesStore.com.
