One of the feature articles I love writing for Creative Scrapbooker magazine is Double the Fun. For each issue, I design a double layout sketch and readers create layouts based on that sketch and submit them.
Here is the sketch and my layout for the Summer 2016 issue that hits newstands June 1.
I used Creative Memories papers, and my Brother ScanNCut to make the black Mickey Mouse heads.
That black polka dot border is created with the Creative Memories Border Punch System and the bubble cartridge. That heart border is actually ribbon from May Arts.
I used the Creative Memories Pocket journaling cards for sub titles and text.
I also used the Brother ScanNCut to design the title.
We are already planning the Fall issue, and are currently taking submissions. Here is my Fall 2016 Double the Fun sketch and layout.
I used the “Heritage” collection from BoBunny, along with Bobunny flowers, jewels, stamps, stickers, glitter paste and stencils.
I used BoBunny Glitter Paste and stencils to add some nice sparkly texture to the layout, plus I added some glitter to the edges of the flowers.
I used a Tombow Dual Brush Pen to hand letter the title.
BoBunny always has stickers and stamps to coordinate with each collection that are wonderful. I used a BoBunny stamp set of leaves, stamped with Clearsnap Blackbird Chalk ink onto BoBunny paper, then fussy cut them out.

Happy Crafting!
