With the Spring 2015 issue of Canadian Scrapbooker out on newsstands, we are now preparing for the Summer and Fall issues.  So I have a new double page sketch and layout on the “Submissions” page of the website for the Fall page call.  Yes, Fall.  ha ha.  I know we are just trying to get Spring going around here!

I have been wanting to scrap these photos for quite awhile and knew they had to go on a two page layout. Sometimes one page is not enough! Last October, my friend Michelle (from Newfoundland) came to visit, and we took a short trip to Phoenix with two other magazine girls, Connie and Kim. This was our day in the Grand Canyon. Yes, it definitely is one of the seven wonders of the world! a MUST SEE!

Can you see how I layered 2 photos to create one larger photo?  An old school optical illusion. That sign isn’t actually in front of the Grand Canyon.  I cut that large red sun behind the photo with my Brother ScanNCut.  It is in the machine’s library of shapes.

I used the collection “Souvenir” from BoBunny…how appropriate!

BoBunny now has fun wood embellishments too.

I loved the natural wood colour of these so I left them as is and didn’t alter them. I also layered some with BoBunny stickers.

I really like the pattern of this layout. Your design is so creative and very well done! Love your use of the wood embellishments. The pictures bring back wonderful memories for me too. I was just there last July with my daughter and grandsons.

    Thanks for sharing Kelly.
