So DramaQueen wanted to kick off summer with a party and a Coachella theme, where everyone would dress up as hipsters. I just figured out that hipsters is a throwback to ‘hippies’. Yes, I’m that old.
I should have said no to the party, but I knew there would be some awesome photos to scrapbook and believe it or not….DQ even ASKED me to take pics of her and her friends (before the party started of course).
The design is based on Sue Sykes‘ August sketch for Canadian Scrapbooker magazine‘s Sketchy Challenge.
If these colours and papers look familiar, it’s because I am loving the Simple Stories “Good Day Sunshine” collection that I also used for my last layout.
Love the chipboard stickers!
I fussy cut this view master image from a piece of patterned paper and added punched flowers.
I also adhered punched flowers along the edges of the photo.
I really wanted to crash the party because I probably have some authentic hippy clothes somewhere in my closet. ha ha ha
For now I’ll have to be content to capture these moments with my camera.
Take some time this summer to party and scrapbook those fun photos! Then upload your layouts to our Sketchy gallery HERE.
Happy Crafting!
