A Simple Summer Sketch & Layout

The July sketch from Sue Sykes is a fun one!  I really like the 3 smaller photos with the strips behind them.

Here is my take on this fun sketch!

Last summer, I decided to join Instagram and took an online class about phone photography from Big Picture Classes.  We had daily photo prompts and wow…did that experience bump up skills with my iPhone camera!  I had so much fun capturing daily snippets of our summer.

I used Simple Stories‘ new summer collection “Good Day Sunshine.”  It’s all about bright happy colours that pack a punch.

I cut my title from one of the 3×4 journaling cards and added these cute enamel dots.

I also added the enamel dots to the centres of the punched flower strips I made.

There are so many awesome embellishments that come with this collection.  I also used chipboard stickers.

Working with this collection really brightened my day!  I hope it brightens yours.
