Magic Monday – My Final Free Printable Worksheet

I have some really important news for you today. I am going on an indefinite break from social media and my lettering ‘work.’ I will update my blog/website at least monthly (I think) but as of December 1, I will not be posting on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok etc. I might keep posting on my Instagram and Facebook Stories.

The main reason is I want more free time. Social media is never part time. It is a relentless 24/7 demand on my time, and even though I consider myself working ‘part-time’ right now, it is still A LOT. Over the past 7 years, I have posted videos and online content non-stop.

If I had started this 20 years ago, maybe I would have more stamina to continue. But my social media accounts went ‘viral’ when I was 53 years old. Now I’m 60 and want to be offline more and get involved in the ‘real life’ community of artists here on Vancouver Island Canada, my new home. I will always be grateful for the inspiration offered by social media, and acknowledge that Instagram was instrumental in launching my calligraphy and artistic career.

I am excited about freeing up my headspace for other creative adventures. I have a very long list of many projects and ideas to explore, but I have little time for them because of trying to keep up with producing videos, making worksheets, managing Facebook groups etc.

Thus, this week I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all of you who have encouraged, supported, and celebrated my creativity online. As you know, my primary joy is teaching, and I want to say that I’m not sure I’m ready to give that up yet. If I decide to teach any online classes, then I will announce them here on my website, Instagram, and Facebook Studio page, but I will not send out anymore monthly email newsletters.

If you want to keep up with me, check my website/blog www.kellycreates.ca regularly. Plus, I will occasionally update my Instagram @kellycreates and Facebook page “Kelly Creates Studio” to announce any online or in-person events. My Facebook main group “Kelly Creates Art and Calligraphy” will remain open for now, but I will not be actively posting.

You can subscribe to this website and receive email notifications when I post something here by entering your email on the side bar on your laptop or scroll down if you’re on a tablet or mobile device. (Look for the image above to sign up for emails.)

I know it’s early, but I would like to wish all of you a very merry Christmas and share my last free Magic Monday worksheet, “Holiday Cheer”. Remember, you can also practice with my digital download printable worksheet sets HERE in my online store.

And don’t worry! My wonderful line of Kelly Creates lettering and art products are still available to purchase on Amazon and other online retailers. They are NOT discontinued. I wrote “Holiday Cheer” with the Kelly Creates Cardinal Dream pen.

Click HERE or click the image below to download and print your free worksheet. I will definitely miss making these, but ironically, they ‘helped’ me to procrastinate doing many other creative projects LOL. We do not grow if we stay in our ‘safe and familiar comfort zones.’

If you’re new to brush lettering, you can find out more about how to start learning calligraphy as a beginner by clicking HERE. It’s a good idea to learn your ABCs before you start writing words. Jumpstart your skills with my Kelly Creates Workbook for Large Brush Pens, Deluxe Lettering Kit and Smooth Practice Paper pad, which is suitable for all ages!

You can use both large and small brush pens to trace the words, such as the Kelly Creates Dream pens and the Multicolor Small Brush pens. Another good choice for pens is the Deluxe Lettering kit and the 3-pack of Black brush pens too. (You can also order most of my lettering supplies from my Amazon Storefront).

These dual sided Kelly Creates Dream pens are a DREAM... both tips are great for calligraphy, hand lettering, home decor, cards, and more!  dream pens kelly creates set 2 meadow    Kelly Creates Multicolor Small Brush Pen Set 2  Kelly Creates Deluxe Lettering kit  Kelly Creates 3 pack brush pens have 3 sizes of tips: small medium and bold. LOVE THEM

All are available in my online store at www.KellyCreatesStore.com (only USA shipping) or you can click HERE to see where to purchase my products at retailers around the world.

You also need to print on smooth paper like HP LaserJet Premium 32 lbs. or use tracing paper(Canson Marker paper) on top of regular copy paper, which is too rough for brush tips and will damage them.

After you finish tracing, practice your freehand skills on my super smooth Kelly Creates Paper Pads. I highly recommend using the Dotted or Lined pads (never practice on blank paper).

Kelly – enjoy yourself & your family. Life can change in an instant, lost my husband of 48 years 4 years ago & recently lost a man I’d grown to love. Last week my oldest granddaughter announced she was having a baby! The ebb & flow of life. Just enjoy your retirement! You will be missed!

Thank you for helping me learn brush lettering at a time in my life when I needed a special creative outlet. And for developing products that made it easier to learn and do lettering.
From a fellow 60 year old, I glad that you are going to take more time to enjoy life outside of social media. 🙂
