One of the most satisfying techniques with watercolour lettering is blending colours in letters and words. Using liquid Kelly Creates Watercolour Inks allows you to easily transform your quotes with beautiful colour combinations.
Painting ‘ocean breeze’ with Kelly Creates Teal and Blue Watercolour Inks brings these two hues to another level. They look so good together!
If you’re not sure which colour combinations look good together and don’t really understand colour theory, then just play and experiment. You will easily see which inks are suitable to be mixed and blended. The Teal and Blue Watercolor Inks are in the ‘Cool’ Set 2.

Can’t find my brand of watercolour inks? You can also use this Ecoline set too!
Another option for liquid watercolor inks is the Dr. Ph Martins ‘Hydrus’ Set 1 (there are 3 sets of different colours). And remember you need a palette with wells to use these liquid watercolours.
To practice painting letters freehand, use the heavyweight smooth Kelly Creates Grid Paper pad. (Never practice on blank paper).
