Are you enjoying summer as much as I am? The wonderful thing about my new home on Vancouver Island is that the summers are the perfect temperature around 23 degrees (about 70 Fahrenheit). No scorching heat and no rain!!
I decided to use 4 fun summery Kelly Creates Watercolour Inks to paint this quote: Rose and Deep Yellow from Set 1 and Teal and Blue from Set 2. I love these hues together!
I used my Size 1 Kelly Creates lettering brush and daisy palette on Canson watercolour paper.
To download and print this week’s free lettering worksheet, click HERE or click the image below. You can paint right onto your copy paper or place tracing paper on top.
Can’t find my brand of watercolour inks? You can also use this Ecoline set too!
Another option for liquid watercolor inks is the Dr. Ph Martins ‘Hydrus’ Set 1 (there are 3 sets of different colours). And remember you need a palette with wells to use these liquid watercolours.
To practice painting letters freehand, use the heavyweight smooth Kelly Creates Grid Paper pad. (Never practice on blank paper).
To learn more about watercolor lettering, read my book The Art of Watercolor Lettering and use my workbooks, inks and supplies from the Kelly Creates AMAZON Storefront or from KellyCreatesStore.com.
