Last week I wrote ‘Naughty or Nice’ with a brush pen for Magic Monday’s worksheet. I thought I would also try to paint this phrase in a different way, combining block and script.

I chose classic red and green Christmas colors: Kelly Creates Poppy watercolor ink and Emerald Ink (mixed with some yellow for a lighter hue).

I used my Size 2 lettering brush, daisy palette, and Canson 140 lb cold pressed watercolor paper.

To practice painting letters freehand, use the heavyweight smooth Kelly Creates Grid Paper pad. (Never practice on blank paper).
