We can’t let October go by without lettering the words ‘pumpkin patch.‘ I hadn’t been to a patch in many years until my niece moved to Canada. Then I took her to a local farm and let the pumpkin magic happen last Fall.
I had to paint in two playful lettering styles with a classic October colour – my Kelly Creates Orange Watercolor Ink.
I used my Size 2 lettering brush, daisy palette, and Canson 140 lb cold pressed watercolor paper.
To practice painting letters freehand, use the heavyweight smooth Kelly Creates Grid Paper pad. (Never practice on blank paper).
To learn more about watercolor lettering, read my book The Art of Watercolor Lettering and use my workbooks, inks and supplies from KellyCreatesStore.com.
