December 22, 2017 at 6:33 am (6 years ago)I never realized i was looking for a creative outlet before, i just thought i had ideas cause i was bored, and i never found anything i thought i was good at. I tried coloring books, sewing, making head bands and other random things i would find on pinterest, and i never really liked doing them because i didn’t feel like i was good at it. Then i found lettering, and i wasn’t good at first but I thought it looked awesome and it wouldn’t hurt to try and i fell in love, thats how i found water color, and now those two things are my current favorite creative outlet

December 22, 2017 at 5:07 pm (6 years ago)I express my creativity with everything I do. I’ve been an artist all my life from the first smiling horse I drew on cardboard from my mother’s pantyhose package at age 5 (my 93 year old father still has it) to 3 decades as a graphic artist. Now I’m striving to get back to my roots as a painter but want to include those graphic elements I’m so fond of by adding the new modern calligraphy. Your Youtube video is the first I’ve heard the name ‘bouncy lettering’. I’m very familiar with those styles as digital fonts, but now I want to do it ALL by hand!

December 22, 2017 at 7:39 pm (6 years ago)Myself, haha. I have severe mental illness, and one of the most helpful coping methods I’ve found is just to be creative with myself. I cut my own hair, dye it myself when I have the money, decorate all my mobility and medical equipment, upcycle most things, make a lot of stuff that I use, wear, and so on. Both my disability and poverty (especially poverty) make a lot of that necessary, I have an income of nearly 0, and a lot of things aren’t made for people with disabilities. (Those that are are extremely expensive.) so I just make stuff and I love it because it allows me to personalize everything and I get cooler things than i might otherwise have.

I love sitting outside and painting. It satisfies me in many ways

December 22, 2017 at 9:07 pm (6 years ago)Admittedly, I don’t express my creativity (art, crafts, lettering, and so on), nearly as much as I’d like to. I tend to get into a rut and repeat very basic designs, I’d really like to get into calligraphy and hand lettering, as I feel it would lend so much more to projects and cards, vs the same old stamped sentiments.

December 23, 2017 at 8:59 pm (6 years ago)A very Merry Christmas and a Bright and Happy New Year to you Kelly! I so would have loved to take your course at the Scrapbook Carnival in Edmonton this year but have been very ill for the past 3 years. I am finally on the mend I am happy to say. I have always wanted to learn the artistic craft of Calligraphy and was hoping to get some of your books. When CSM had a gift from you in their 12 Days of Giving I was so astonished as I looked through your FB page to find how many products have been added to your line and so colorful too! I wish everyone good luck in your generous gifts. For me, if nothing else, it was a pleasure to scroll through and look at everything. I have much more to go through, believe me, I hardly got started! Thank you so much for having such a giving heart and sharing so much of yourself with us! You have yourself a new follower for sure.
