The calligraphy worksheets I have released thus far are for brush pens. I LOVE brush pens, any size, any colour! But I also love watercolor and lettering with a real brush too.
I tested out some trial worksheets and tracing guides at the Pinners Conference in Phoenix earlier this month, and they were a big hit!
That Pinners watercolor lettering workshop had 140 awesome people learning watercolor lettering! It was a FANTASTIC experience!
For this new worksheet tracing guide set, I decided to include the drills and not release a bundle. So the watercolor worksheets have 55 pages….which includes a detailed “SUPPLIES” info sheet, 20 Helpful Hints sheets, 2 sizes of blank practice sheets, Review sheets, and Exemplar.
I used a Round 1 or 2 Watercolor brush, but you can use different sizes of Round brushes, and that will just give you a different thickness of downstrokes. Remember, the flex of the brush is important. Every watercolor brush is different, and some brands are better than others for creating those thin and thick downstrokes. I also explain this in my “SUPPLIES” info sheet that comes with the worksheet set.
The style of letters is more relaxed and playful, and the typography is larger than the “large brush pen” worksheets that were my first release.
