My favorite Christmas food is pastelle – It’s basically whatever filling you want, be it minced beef/chicken/fish/veggies well seasoned and cooked with capers and currants/raisens, wrapped in cornmeal (idk how to describe it but it’s not breadlike lol) and the leaves of the banana tree… yummo!!! Think I’m gonna have one or maybe two now lol

Our favorite Christmas food is home-made beef and noodles. After fixing a turkey the first Christmas we were married, I could not eat it. I could not get the image out of my mind of handling the dead bird. So since that first Christmas, it has always been beef and noodles, home-made mashed potatoes and green beans.

Okay – you’re gonna think I’m nuts but my favorite food related item for Christmas is what every meal I order from Danny’s restaurant on Christmas Eve. 10 years ago we realized we had a Christmas day feast planned but nothing for Christmas Eve. Most restaurants are closed (as they should be!) on Christmas Eve, but not Denny’s! We went to Denny’s and it has become a Christmas eve tradition. Weird but fun! The grandkids love it.

My favorite Christmas food is dressing. It’s not stuffing, but dressing. It’s something our family has made for years and I LOVE it. It isn’t Christmas without it.

Another difficult one. I don’t eat much sugar anymore but if I could it would be something called Crack. Crack is made with a layer of saltine crackers covered with a caramel that hardens and topped with melted chocolate. It is kept in the refrigerator and is delicious.
