If you have been following my blog and Instagram or Facebook posts this summer, you will know that I have been playing with Tombow Dual Brush Pens to create some watercolour pictures. I did a series of flowers. If you would like to see that post with a short video, click HERE.
Well, the reason I did all those watercolour ABC’s is I was involved with a challenge on Instagram. Now that the challenge is over, I find I am really missing the daily practice with watercolours. I still am practising my hand lettering, but I love watercolours with these pens so much! So I decided to try to do at least one quick picture every week. We’ll see what happens when Fall arrives and life gets really busy….
So here is the dragonfly watercolour I made…
It’s a little hard to see from this photo, but the wings also have fine outlines for texture.
I wrote the word ‘dragonfly’ with a Tombow Fudenosuke calligraphy pen. I LOVE THIS PEN.
Here is a 2 minute video that is fast forward showing you how I created this dragonfly.
