I bet many people don’t associate Bazzill Basics cardstock with mixed media.  Well, today I am sharing a layout and video on the Bazzill blog that shows you how they work well together.

On this layout, I have used two NEW Bazzill paper products: Mylar Sheet and Foil Board. I embossed and die cut the butterflies from Mylar, and die cut the ‘lovely’ title from Foil Board using a Heidi Swapp die and the We R Memory Keepers Evolution machine.

Below the photo, I have several layers:  Dollar Store doilies, May Arts wire and gold mesh and Heidi Swapp resist die cuts, which I sprayed with Gold Color Shine.

Here is a short video tutorial on how I created that mixed media background using Viva Décor Inka Gold, The Crafter’s Workshop stencils, Golden molding paste and Heidi Swapp Color Shine.
