Welcome to Day 3 of the Graphic 45 and Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L blog hop!

g45 blog hop

I always love creating with Graphic 45 products….they just make my imagination and creativity soar!

I decided to make a 3D step card because I enjoy fussy cutting and layering the beautiful images on the Graphic 45 patterned paper.

kellyklapstein-g45-15The right adhesives and the gorgeous Botanical Tea collection combined to make this step card design a breeze. I used Crafty Foam Tape, Dodz, my E-Z Dots Permanent Refillable, and 3D Foam Leaves.

kellyklapstein-g45-1There are many different kinds of step card templates out there, but I used a very simple one that is easy for you to copy.  Simply cut a piece of paper 5″ x 12″ and score/fold at the following measurements, starting at the bottom of the card: 1″, 2″, 4″, 6″, 9″ . If you’re unsure about folding, then try it first with a scrap piece of paper.  If you have one, use your scoreboard.

kellyklapstein-g45-2After you have your folded card base, then just start building up the three front panels.  I started with the first smallest one.

kellyklapstein-g45-3Crafty Foam Tape or even 3D Foam Squares are perfect for layering on this kind of card without creating too much bulk.

kellyklapstein-g45-5For my flat pieces, I used my E-Z Dots Permanent Refillable runner.

kellyklapstein-g45-4The Elegant Oval and Garden Gate die cuts you see are from two Spellbinders dies.

kellyklapstein-g45-10Dodz are perfect for adhering all my fussy cut elements, like the butterflies and flowers. The Dodz come in Small, Medium and 3D.  I also adhered this Graphic 45 metal key with Small Dodz and it does not budge!

kellyklapstein-g45-9

kellyklapstein-g45-8Those pretty sparkly leaves are made using two tones of glitter and 3D Foam Leaves.

kellyklapstein-g45-7Here is a side view of the card that shows off the beautiful dimension.

kellyklapstein-g45-14I can easily fold it down and mail it across the country to my dear friend Michelle for her birthday in September.
kellyklapstein-g45-13

All of the Graphic 45 collections come with matching sticker sheets and die cuts too.  I used some of the handy ready-made die cuts in my design: the envelope, tag, and sentiment labels.
