I’ve often been asked if I’m Irish… dark eyes and hair, first name Kelly.  Well, nope, I am Ukrainian on both sides! ha ha!  I guess my mom was pretty easygoing about choosing names when I was born.

I’ve always enjoyed St. Patrick’s Day and the festivities, especially hiding chocolate gold coins in my kids shoes.  I know they’re a little old for that now (and their shoes are pretty stinky! lol!) but I still pretend the leprechauns show up at night, and the kids are always happy to have some chocolate.

Today on the Crafty Power blog, I am sharing a really GREEN shamrock card.  kellyklapstein-luck-1Click HERE to visit the Crafty Power blog and see a photo tutorial on how I made the shamrock.

I used Core’dinations Spotted card stock in 2 shades of green for the card base.

Spotted_Jillian_LR-983x1024I am feeling VERY lucky because we found our own pot of gold yesterday …. a puppy!

blog puppyHe is a soft-coated Wheaten Terrier, an Irish breed.  I honestly didn’t even think about the significance getting him now so close to St. Paddy’s day!  He is a sweetie and very laid back, and we love him! We named him Finnigan….and are calling him Finn for short.

IMG_5866Isn’t he a cutie?  Of course one of my close friends said, “And now you’ll be able to make lots of doggy scrapbook layouts!”  lol

I hope you have lots of luck coming your way on March 17 … or at least a day filled with sunshine and rainbows!
